What the operations report shows
Reports › Operations sums up how service ran for the chosen dates and locations. At the top you see figures such as Average preparation time, Order value per day and per hour, Average orders per day and per hour and Average ticket; Customize metrics lets you pick which ones to show. Below are order value by hour (in-store and takeaway versus delivery), orders by service type, an activity heatmap by weekday and hour, times by location and the delivery metrics.
Use the Time of day filter to focus on one service, for example lunch only. The Suggested windows come from your locations' opening hours, and you can add several windows at once. The Export CSV button downloads the report with the filters applied.
Why order value does not match net sales
In Reports › Operations, Order value is the amount of the orders with VAT included, without subtracting discounts or refunds. It measures workload, not takings.
That is why it does not match Net sales in Reports › Sales or Reports › Finances, which is the taxable base without VAT and already takes discounts and refunds off. For accounting figures, use Finances.
Per-hour figures count only opening hours
In Reports › Operations, Order value per hour and Average orders per hour are divided by the hours each location was open according to its opening hours, not by the 24 hours of the day. So "per hour" means per hour of service.
If a location has no opening hours set up, it adds no open hours and its per-hour figures come out too high or at zero. Check each location's hours in Settings › Locations › Workdays.
Times by location and delivery metrics
The Times by location table in Reports › Operations shows, per location and per day or week, the average Prep time (from the order arriving to it being ready), Pickup wait (from ready to collected) and Delivery time (from dispatch to delivered). Darker cells are slower periods.
The Delivery Metrics section sums up home-delivery orders: orders, delivered, cancelled, cancellation rate, average delivery time and average distance. You can view it by Stores, Providers or Fleets, open a store to see its orders one by one, and download it with Export Excel.
