Meal deals and saved steps

Build meal deals step by step, set prices and options, and reuse steps across meal deals.

Create a meal deal

Open Product library › Items, click Combos and then Create meal deal. First you fill in the meal deal's information (name, price, image) and then its Steps.

Each step is a choice the customer makes, such as "Pick your drink". For each step you can set:

  • Title and description, shown to the customer.
  • The items that can be picked; on each item you set its price and options, or hide it without removing it.
  • Min and Max: how many distinct options can be picked.
  • Optional: whether the customer can skip the step.

Click Create meal deal to save it.

Modifiers inside a meal deal

A meal deal step can offer modifiers. Those modifiers apply to the item picked in an earlier step, so add an items step first.

On each modifier in the step you can set a Price override and a Max quantity. Leave them empty to use the modifier's own price and maximum.

Saved steps

If you repeat the same step in several meal deals, save it once. In Product library › Items › Combos, click Steps to open Saved steps and create one with Create saved step. You can also save a step from its actions menu with Add to saved steps.

When building a meal deal, use Add saved step. The meal deal copies the step, so editing the saved step does not change meal deals on its own: when you save, you are asked whether to update the meal deals that use it. Deleting a saved step does not affect the meal deals that already use it.
