Create an item
Open Product library › Items and click Create item. The form has three steps:
- Item: name, SKU, section, price, image, taxes, description and locations. Choose "All current and future locations" if the item is sold at every venue.
- Modifiers: add existing modifiers or create a new one for this item.
- Recipe: search for the ingredients and preparations that make it up.
Click Create item at the end to save it. The Items list only shows items for the locations you have selected.
Adjust an item's photo
In the item form, click Choose image. Before it is kept, a preview opens where you can make the product bigger or smaller and drag it into place. The picture is saved square, at 500 × 500 px: anything outside the frame is cropped and empty space stays transparent.
With a photo already in place, Adjust size opens that preview again and Remove background puts the product on a transparent background. Nothing is stored until you save the item.
Edit or delete an item
In Product library › Items, open an item's actions menu and choose Edit. Editing has three tabs: Information, Modifiers and Recipes. Click Update to save your changes.
From the same menu you can make a copy, copy its identifier or delete it. Deleting an item cannot be undone. To change where it is on sale, use Product library › Availability.
Group a product's variations
Variations group similar products, such as sizes or flavours. In Product library › Items, open an item's actions menu and choose Variations. From there you can:
- Make original the main product of the group.
- Add products to the group or remove them from the group.
- Create variation: opens a new item with the original's photo, description, taxes and modifiers already filled in.
On the General tab you change the photo, description, taxes or modifiers and click Apply to all variations. If the group formed only because the products share a name, make one the original before adding more.
